Antique Monograms.
Recently been admiring a book on Antique Monograms.

Seeking inspiration for a branding project and these beautiful forms bewitched me. I also quite like the  juxtaposition here.
There’s definitely an Art Nouveau moving into Deco and then a bit of Bauhaus (mid-top right) thing going on.

I’m actually not sure it was a ‘book’ I was ‘admiring’. I think it was scavenged off the interweb. Its a notion a little less romantic!
And it’s not really Monograms either is it?  Double Letter Monograms do exist though. If that’s not an enormous oxymoron.
